Naarm's groove merchants Birdsnake are crafting a name for themselves as one of the most entrancing acts in the local scene. They provide a free-flowing sensory experience that seamlessly combines acid jazz, psychedelic funk and down tempo grooves. The band's immersive and exploratory live shows are a blend of dubbed out rhythms and percussive textures that pull audiences into transcendental, droney realms.
The Melbourne six piece are putting together a special ninety minute live show featuring tunes from their debut vinyl, unreleased music and extended kraut-funk improvisations. There will be live art and Dj's capping off what's shaping up to be a captivating showcase of one of Melbourne's emerging, underground talents.

Malthouse Outdoor Stage is a general admission venue with standing areas and seating available at shared tables. We recommend arriving early to find a space that’s right for you. The Malthouse Bar is open before and during the show, and food is available from The Malthouse Cafe.
We perform in all weather conditions, so long as it's safe for the performers and for you. Melbourne's weather can change all the time—we recommend bringing a raincoat, wearing waterproof shoes, and bringing a small umbrella just in case. In the event that the performance is cancelled, we will contact you to inform you the next steps. Please note the seating area is not covered.

The Malthouse Outdoor Stage main auditorium is accessible via flat entry and is suitable for wheelchair and mobility device users. The sunken front of stage area called the ‘pit’ is accessed via three stairs only and is not suitable for wheelchair or mobility device users. Accessible toilets are located within The Malthouse and can be accessed via flat floors. For more detailed accessibility information see here.
