Across the globe, women’s voices are being heard like never before. Available in bookstores from April 1, No Apologies: Women In Comedy Claiming their Space, Finding their Voice and Telling their Stories is the debut book by journalist and comedian Joanne Brookfield. Featuring interviews with more than 50 women in comedy – including Judith Lucy, Denise Scott, Urzila Carlson, Wendy Harmer, The Kates (McLennan and McCartney), Fiona O’Loughlin, Jo Stanley, Felicity Ward, Rachel Berger – No Apologies is about the power of women’s voices and stories and creating the change we want to see in the world.

Join the conversation 4pm, Saturday 13 Apr when the book comes to life on stage during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival as a chat show, hosted by Joanne Brookfield with several of the interviewees. One show only.
