Terms and Conditions

Selected conditions apply when booking tickets to the Cloudstreet Experience. For tickets to the Cloudstreet Experience, a meal is provided for free with the purchase of a ticket during the first interval.

For patrons attending Experience performances on the weekend or on 4 or 5 June, please nominate your preferred meal request please complete this form no later than 72 hours before the performance for which you hold a ticket. Patrons attending the matinee Experience performances on Tuesday or Wednesday will be served meals buffet-style. 

Malthouse Theatre is not the meal provider, meals will be provided by either Ned’s Bake or Woodrose Food Company.

Malthouse Theatre will make every attempt to provide a meal to ticket buyers of the Cloudstreet Experience. We cannot guarantee that all meal preferences will be honoured, and where a meal preference is not specified the ticket buyer will be provided with a vegan meal.

In line with Malthouse Theatre’s Ticketing Terms and Conditions and as outlined in the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice all tickets to the Cloudstreet Experience are non-refundable. Malthouse Theatre is not in a position to provide refunds or exchanges of any portion of the cost of a ticket to the Cloudstreet Experience due to the provision of meal that is considered: unsatisfactory, insufficient, served in an untimely fashion, or was not the meal preference requested. Malthouse Theatre is also not in a position to provide a refund, exchange or discount of a portion of the ticket cost if an audience member elects not to take a meal.

For those customers that wish to bring their own snacks to eat in addition to the meal provided (for example, if they are unsure that our meals will meet their specific dietary requirements), please be advised that we are unable to refrigerate or heat your meal onsite. Please note that there is a local IGA supermarket within 5 minutes walking distance should you prefer to purchase alternative snacking options on the day you attend the performance. Peanut and Allergy Policy
Ned’s and Woodrose Food Company will make every attempt to identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions for those with food allergies. Every effort is made to instruct our food production staff on the severity of food allergies. In addition, we label items with possible allergen-containing ingredients; however, there is always a risk of contamination. There is also a possibility that manufacturers of the commercial foods we use could change the formulation at any time, without notice. There is always the risk of contamination as in our kitchen we use products such as milk, eggs, gluten, seafood, peanuts, other nuts, sesame seeds, and capsicum, although we have strict cross contamination policies; we can not guarantee a total absence of these products in any of meals. Malthouse Theatre, Ned’s and Woodrose Food will not assume any liability for adverse reactions from the food consumed or items one may come in contact with whilst eating any of our meals. Customers concerned with food allergies need to be aware of this risk.

Please note that the mains provided do not contain peanuts, nuts and nut derivatives, with the exception of the desserts which contain almonds and macadamia nuts.

WEEKEND EXPERIENCE & PERFORMANCES ON 8 May, 4 JUNE OR 5 JUNE 

Ticket buyers who purchase tickets to the Cloudstreet Experience at least 72 hours in advance will be provided with the opportunity to select one of the following meal options:

  • A vegan/vegetarian meal option;
  • A meat meal option; or
  • A dairy-free and gluten-free option.

Ticket buyers who purchase tickets to the Cloudstreet Experience fewer than 72 hours in advance will be offered a meal from a general, unallocated selection of the aforementioned options, availability of which cannot be guaranteed.

Special requests cannot be guaranteed. Whilst the meal provider will supply a range of meals to suit most dietary requirements, we understand that some customers may have individual needs which we are unable to cater for.

Please note that the suppliers may adjust the menu due to the availability of certain ingredients, these changes will be signposted near the meal collection points.

Vegan/Vegetarian option:

Suitable for audience members requiring a meal that does not contain animal products or animal by-products, eggs and dairy; meat and dairy products prepared together; or gelatine.

  • Antipasto: Native basil and bush tomato Arancini, Pepper berry marinated olives, Grissini
    • Arancini: arborio rice, native basil, bush tomatoes, bread crumbs, flour, egg substitute, salt
    • Olives: pepper berry, olives, thyme, olive oil, balsamic
    • Grissini: flour, olives, olive oil, yeast salt water
  • Main: Eggplant and warrigal greens parmigiana with pangritata
    • Eggplant, spinach, Warrigal greens, tomato, onion, garlic, basil, salt, olive oil, bread crumbs
  • Dessert: Chocolate and Macadamia pudding
    • flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt water, egg replacer, sugar, soy milk, raw cocoa nibs

Meat option:

  • Antipasto: Native basil and bush tomato & prosciutto arancini, Pepper berry marinated olives, Grissini
    • Arancini: arborio rice, native basil, bush tomatoes, bread crumbs, flour, egg, parmesan, salt, prosciutto
    • Olives: pepper berry, olives, thyme, olive oil, balsamic
    • Grissini: flour, olives, olive oil, yeast salt water
  • Main: Slow roasted lamb with a saltbush rub with pepper berries polenta and sautéed saltbush

  • Dessert: Davidsons plum pudding with macadamia praline
