Be seduced by a romantic comedy adventure unlike any other in Rama Nicholas’ saucy new show The Lucky Ones. A master of character-comedy and storytelling, Rama will sweep you off your feet in this hilariously juicy tale about love, sex and romantic relationships. Rama returns to MICF and is proud to present the premiere her newest production, a romantic-comedy adventure at The Coopers Malthouse.

The story follows the warm and buttery character Carmen Walters, a seemingly ordinary middle-aged woman. But Carmen is anything but ordinary – she is a cult romance and erotica writer. In an exposé of her most noted stories, Carmen takes us on a seductively wild and intimate journey, unfolding new worlds where sexual tension, forbidden love and happy endings all play a leading role

As Carmen brings her hot, steamy stories to life, where gender and sexual orientation have no boundaries, her own secrets emerge that parallel the lives of her fictitious characters. Carmen asks ‘What is love and why is romance and sex so important?’ ‘What are you prepared to sacrifice for it?’ and ‘Are you one of The Lucky Ones?’

Playing to sold out crowds in her previous solo shows, Rama has been wowing audiences with her unique blend of story telling and masterful character comedy. Switching seamlessly between a multitude of characters, Rama weaves a story inspired by the great romantics from both olden day and modern times.
