New for 2018!

What is re-contextualising? Why re-contextualise? What makes an effective re-contextualisation? This workshop will investigate all aspects of a play’s potential. It will assist students to engage rigorously with a script, and explore how re-contextualising can enhance a playwright’s intentions, illuminate the central meanings of a play, and offer new insights for play production and stagecraft interpretation.

This workshop will be run by a combined teaching artist and directorial team: Meg Upton, Vanessa O’Neill and Malthouse Theatre’s 2017 Director in Residence Sapidah Kian.
